    Features:

Under the Software Assurance Programme, customers acquire the right to install any new release of products covered in the agreement during the term of their coverage.

Windows 2003 Server is Microsoft's solution for workgroup file, print, and communication servers, as well as for Internet content delivery.

This is a User Client Access License (CAL) for Windows 2003 Server Standard. A CAL is needed for every device or user accessing the server for using file services, printing services, remote access service, or terminal services, or any authenticated users accessing Windows 2003 as a Web server or an application server. For a significant number of authenticated Internet users, an External Connector license is available.

    • 9.0 GB available hard-disk space
    • CD or DVD drive
    • 10 MBps or larger bandwidth network adaptor

    Software:

    • Windows Server 2003 SP1 or Windows Server 2003 R2
    • To host the databases — SQL Server 2000 or SQL Server on a separate server
Specific requirements depend on whether the server is installed in a development or production environment. For details, see the Installation and Configuration Guide for Microsoft Commerce Server 2007.
    Features:

    • Under the Software Assurance program, customers acquire the right to install any new release of products covered in the agreement during the term of their coverage.

    • The Starter Site is a production-ready Commerce Server application that can be easily customized and deployed. The Starter Site also provides a blueprint with prescriptive guidance for development of custom applications.
    • The Business Processing Pipeline System provides features for order handling, shipping method maintenance and multiple shipment handling, discount handling, currency handling, and efficient pipeline loading and running. (A pipeline is an extensible software framework that defines and links two or more stages of a business process, running them in sequence to complete a specific task.)
    • Commerce Server 2007 features full integration with Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0, Microsoft Visual Studio 2005, and Microsoft SQL Server 2005 as well as integration with ASP.NET 2.0 Authentication and Profiles/Membership capabilities.

Commerce Server is a scalable platform for developing, deploying, managing, and upgrading Web e-commerce applications. The Standard Edition is intended for medium deployments and is limited to two Web servers and a maximum of two CPUs per server.

Customers use their browser to access a Commerce Server Web application. Such Web applications typically involve purchasing or otherwise ordering products that are browsed online, placed in a basket, and ultimately acquired by going through a check-out process.

At the core of Commerce Server are five integrated management systems:

    • Catalog (products, variations, virtual catalogs, virtual properties, multiple languages and currencies, full-text and property-based search)
    • Inventory (searching, back-ordering, out-of-stock items)
    • Marketing (content targeting, upselling and cross-selling capabilities, advertisements, email campaigns, discounts, and coupons)
    • Orders (pipeline architecture, order splitting, multiple shopping carts)
    • Profiles (personalization, user targeting, organizations, purchase orders)

A Commerce Server application can use any or all of these systems.

    Licensing

Computers running Commerce Server in day-to-day operations require one production license for each processor. (For example, a four-processor server requires four Commerce Server licenses.)

    Description:

Microsoft Project Server 2010 enables medium-sized and large organizations to better manage projects and project portfolios, collaborate across the entire enterprise, and effectively analyze and report on both projects and programs. Project Server 2010 is accessed via its clients, Project Professional and Project Web Access.

Project Server 2010 is the successor to Project Server 2007, but it also integrates many of the features of Project Portfolio Server, which is no longer available. Project Server 2010's portfolio management features allow organizations to identify, select, manage, and deliver portfolios of projects, programs, and software applications (collectively known as investments) that align with their strategy.

A new demand management module captures all work in a centralized repository, allowing organizations to develop and deploy effective governance workflows in order to manage project investments throughout their life cycle and to drive accountability and control. When Project Server is used with its web client, Project Web Access, users have a simple Web interface to access a range of functions like timesheets, proposals, projects, programs, and activity plans.

Project Server 2010 also adds the Fluent user interface, which simplifies navigation by replacing menus and toolbars with a set of task-based tabs known as the Ribbon.

Project Server 2010 is built on SharePoint Server 2010 and is designed for use with SharePoint Server 2010 Enterprise and Project Professional 2010 as part of the Microsoft Enterprise Project Management (EPM) solution. The EPM solution is suited for organizations that need strong coordination and standardization between projects and project managers, centralized resource management, or higher-level reporting for projects and resources.

This product includes a server license. Each user or device that accesses Project Server must have a Project Server user or device client access license (CAL), whether the access is through Project or through Project Web Access, the Project Server web client.

64-Bit Only: Project Server 2010 requires 64-bit hardware and a 64-bit operating system.

Acquiring the Installation Media and License Key: Installing this product requires installation media and a license key. Installation media will be shipped to you free of charge.

The license allows you to use the installation media to install the product on as many computers as you have received donations for. This quantity is specified in the donation email sent to your organization email address after your eligibility has been verified and your administrative fee has been received. A separate email will give you information about obtaining your license key.

Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Standard Edition is a complete data storage, management, analysis, and reporting platform for medium-size organizations and larger departments. It can be used as a back-end database server for internal applications or for powering a dynamic Web site.

The management interface is SQL Server Management Studio, a graphical management tool for all SQL Server components with rich scripting capabilities. SQL Server Management Studio includes Policy-Based Management, which can create policies that manage entities on the server, such as the instance of SQL Server, databases, and other SQL Server objects.

SQL Server offers development tools that are tightly integrated with the Microsoft .NET framework and Visual Studio to provide end-to-end application development capabilities.

This is a server license with one processor license. Although SQL Server 2008 supports up to four CPUs, a separate processor license is required for each processor that is located on the server running the SQL Server software. A processor license includes access for an unlimited number of users to connect from inside the corporate local area network (LAN) or wide area network (WAN) or outside the firewall. Customers do not need to purchase client access licenses (CALs).

32-Bit and x64 Versions: The installation media for this product is a DVD-ROM that can be used for 32-bit, 64-bit AMD, 64-bit Intel Xeon, or 64-bit Intel Itanium platforms. The 32-bit version can be installed on the Windows on Windows (WOW64) 32-bit subsystem of a 64-bit server.

Groove Server 2007 extends Groove 2007 client software with centralized management, data relay, and data integration services.

Groove Server is a set of three server software applications:

    • Groove Manager provides management services such as account configuration, policy setting, and usage reporting.
    • Groove Relay provides data relay services to transmit data between Groove 2007 clients when they cannot connect directly.
    • Groove Data Bridge provides a centralized platform for integration services to enable developers to build custom solutions that connect Groove workspaces with centralized enterprise data sources. Note: Data Bridge requires a dedicated machine with no Groove client or other Groove server application installed.

No client access licenses (CALs) are needed for Groove Server. Groove 2007 desktop application software is required to access Groove Server 2007.
