Description: 

This user client access license (CAL) authorizes a user to access Exchange Server from any device (for example, when an employee accesses the server from a computer at work and another at home). It is valid for both Exchange Server 2007/2010, and both Enterprise Edition and Standard Edition. However, if your organization has the 2007/2010 Enterprise Edition, it is important to work with Microsoft support to be sure your setup is correct.

Device CALS are also available. A device CAL authorizes one computer to access Exchange Server, regardless of the number of users (for example, a shared workstation).
