Description: 

This device client access license (CAL) authorizes one computer to access Exchange Server, regardless of the number of users (for example, a shared workstation). It is valid for both Exchange Server 2007/2010 and Exchange Server 2003, and both Enterprise Edition and Standard Edition. However, if your organization has the 2007/2010 Enterprise Edition, it is important to work with Microsoft support to be sure your setup is correct.

User CALS are also available. A user CAL authorizes a user to access Exchange Server from any device (for example, when an employee accesses the server from a computer at work and another at home).
